Randy Wisener

1949-2021

Randolph (“Randy”) Wisener, who founded our firm along with Robert Nunnally, passed away in November 2021. Randy was a native Texan who attended the Garland public schools. He obtained a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from the University of North Texas and a Master of Arts, with honors, from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He graduated fourth in his class of over two hundred with a Juris Doctor with distinction from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1986, served as the Executive Editor of his law school’s law journal, and earned a number of awards.

Randy began his thirty-two year law career in mid-life, starting law school after a meaningful career as a teacher, coach and principal. He was a past member of the Board of Directors of the Garland Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Garland Bar Association.  Randy presented papers, served on panels and made presentations regarding various aspects of insurance company insolvencies and related legal topics. Randy had substantial business and insurance company insolvency courtroom experience. Beginning with the founding of our firm in 2000, Randy began to focus his practice on transactional work and solving problems outside the courtroom.

Randy and Robert founded our law firm in 2000, with the goal of providing sophisticated legal work on business matters in a Garland setting. Randy enjoyed finding simple yet elegant solutions to clients’ needs.

Randy retired from our firm in 2018, and departed this life in 2021. Randy was a devoted husband to his wife Barbara, a devoted father and grandfather, an avid student of history and an excellent golfer. Randy was also our valued friend and colleague.
